A vintage color offset lithograph print of the iconic Man on the Moon photograph taken by Neil Armstrong (1930-2012) on the NASA Apollo 11 moon landing mission in 1969.
Printed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, this lithograph shows American astronaut, Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin placing the lunar seismometer on the lunar surface (left behind to record moon quakes) and unfurling ‘solar wind’ sheet on July 20, 1969. American flag and Lunar Module in background.

On July 20, while astronaut and command module pilot Michael Collins orbited the Moon, Neil Armstrong and Edwin E. ‘Buzz’ Aldrin landed Eagle on the Moon and set foot on the surface, accomplishing a first for humankind.
They collected surface "dirt" and rock samples, set up experiments, planted an American flag and left behind medallions honoring the Apollo 1 crew and a plaque that read, "We came in peace for all mankind."
Framed in contemporary-styled walnut-colored wood composite with gold-colored metal ¼” inside edge; fully glassed; back is heavy cardboard with brass fasteners; no hanging wire.

Original print is in very fine condition with no visible defects; shielded from sun damage, dust and moisture by glass and frame since 1969.
Wood composite frame is in very good vintage original condition overall; is not warped; has a few nicks commensurate with age and use; standard clear glass mounting is fully intact with no cracks or scratches; no markings on cardboard backing.
