LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a part-time ten(10)month teaching role in South Attleboro, MA. We would love to collaborate with you and help more kids journey towards their full potential.
The certified teacher will work in a behavioral health facility and treatment center, which involves working with adolescent students grades 7-12 in a small classroom setting to help support them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 7-8 students, with a maximum amount of 15; in a small group setting.
Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Provide appropriate feedback on work.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student.
Perform administrative duties daily.
Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following
Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Ability Required:

B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution.
MA State Teaching Certification.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology (Microsoft Office and SalesForce) preferred.
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total education program.
This position entails a 15-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday 11:00am-2:00pm.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
