Key Responsibilities
• Oversee one or multiple siding crews, each typically consisting of 5-10 team members
• Some of our siding crews also install windows and oversight of installation will be required in addition to possible cleaning
• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the installation process from start to finish
• Complete all pre and post jobsite paperwork as required
• Take extensive photos during the process to document work done and good final photos
• Address and resolve any questions, concerns, or issues that arise during the project
• Ensure work is completed according to the contract, company quality standards, all while maintaining safety guidelines
• Coordinate with the Electrician, Operations Manager and homeowner for delivery and removal of materials, dumpster and porta potty
• Communicate regularly with and report directly to the Operations Manager
• Perform final walkarounds with homeowners and collect final payments
• Ensure customer satisfaction and get 5-star Google review upon job completion
• Upon job completion paying the crews based on company pay sheets.
Qualifications & Experience
• Field experience in siding installation and general carpentry required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be able to work with tough customers as they arise due to jobsite issues if any all while maintaining a professional customer-facing presence
• Ability to manage crews, problem-solve on-site
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
• Highly organized and will keep a clean truck and jobsite
• Dependable, detail-oriented and willing to work the hours needed to complete the job
General Job Responsibilities
• Schedule and prioritize job installations properly and coordinate other installs that may be involved for a single project.
• Assign schedules and appropriate supplies and equipment to appropriate crews
• Schedule material, dumpster and porta potty deliveries for install confirming with customer where they will be placed
• Ensure proper delivery and storage of materials to protect them from theft, damage
• Ensure material deliveries are accurate in quality and quantity and handle any discrepancies on site in a timely manner.
• Run all installations. Be onsite first day of install to go through details with customer and get crew started.
• Supervise workers on site and direct operations in the field as needed
• Work with installation teams to maximize productivity and ensure safe, quality work. Many speak English and Spanish.
• Randomly check in with crews daily to inspect quality and that work is being performed per the contract.
Physical Requirements for the Install Manager:
• Lifting and carrying equipment such as ladders and materials
• Frequent standing, walking, forward bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, balancing, driving, grasping
In General Always Focusing on:
• Enforcing company quality standards at all times
• Monitor job sites daily and address apparent safety issues immediately
• Know and enforce all workplace rules and regulations.
• Ensure that homes and job sites under construction are kept clean, well-organized, safe and secure
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with install crew, but more importantly the homeowners. Details have to be explained, deliveries coordinated, problems arise and have to be fixed. We aim for 100% Satisfaction.
• Actively participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Oversee job repairs and punch list items
Qualifications
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel),
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the construction business, with an emphasis on the installation of windows, doors, decking and mainly siding (Cedar, Vinyl, Hardie).
• Ability to assist the crew where and when needed
• Working understanding of product specification terminology.
• Desire to work in a team environment that relies on clear and effective communication, supportive behavior and respect for the abilities, talents and role of each individual within the team.
• Willingness to contribute actively in team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas.
• Ability to prioritize critical tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, digest information quickly, and meet essential deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Must maintain a clean company truck inside and out and keep shop materials organized
• Strong sense of accountability and a backbone to hold the crew accountable for any mistakes or damages onsite from their carelessness if any.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Highly motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision and set your own schedules.
• Capable of identifying issues and generating solutions in moderately complex situations.
• Capable of probing and listening carefully, presenting information clearly in an appropriate style and persuading others in straightforward situations.
• Creative thinker and self-organizer who takes the initiative to deliver tasks to completion.
• Ability to understand and speak Spanish highly beneficial though not required
Compensation Package:
• Status: 40 hours – 60 hours/week
• Schedule: General working hours of Monday-Friday 7AM – 4:00PM. Flexible hours, but work may require nights and
weekends depending on project deadlines.
